It was recently pointed out to me that my comic reminds someone of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I thought about it and it almost seems there's more similarities in the characters than there are differences. Mine are more toned down, a little more based on reality (especially the part about not being fast food items), but I can't help but see Master Shake, Frylock and Meatwad in human form sitting on the couch.

I hadn't realized it until now.

I have more ideas than I have time to finish them. If anyone out there is artistic and familiar with graphics programs, I could use a few minutes here and there to help me finish off some frames. This could possibly get me another consistent post day, since the only guarantee I make right now is Fridays.

The process is simple if you've used graphic programs:

Create two layers.
Place text on layer three in locations where it is most readable and aesthetically pleasing. ( I'm not very good with this step. There are specific fonts for each character, but that's easy to do.)
Design the bubbles on layer two.
That's it!

It would not involve any writing of the scripts or character design, although I appreciate suggestions, I'm afraid someone else's work will be better than mine and a seed of self doubt grows very quickly in the fertile soil of my mind.

If you're interested, but lack the knowledge, I might suggest looking into a program called GIMP, and toying around with layers, text and colored regions. Creating your own comic is a great way to understand the process. And if you come up with something you think is better, don't hesitate to share. Everything I do I just guessed at as I went along, and it's easy to tell things keep evolving (and I hope they always do). I also use a program called OpenCanvas, of which I am very fond.

Opinion time:

When I put out a comic that clearly isn't funny, or one that just doesn't read well or was not meshed out well enough, should I put them here? So we can all pick them apart and I can get better? Or should I just leave them on Existence is Futile and move on? Also, do you guys want to hear my excuses, or would you rather avoid the pessimistic commentary? Anyway, enough for now... now I gotta go put in all these damn links...

Well, this refurbished blog can serve a few purposes...

1) I'll move the voting from Existence is Futile over here.
2) I'll move the comics that do not end up being funny over here.
3) I can make fun of the American political system. I know, like shooting fish in a barrel, only these fish smell bad and are ugly, so they deserve it.
4) I dunno, we'll figure it out, suggestions?

I need to do something with this space. Maybe, due to the staggering popularity of my comic, I'll use this to put the failures/bonus/votes or something. Yeah, by massive popularity I mean I have five readers. That's right, you almost can't count them on one fuckin' hand.
